N and T Series tractors can now be specified with two new types of transmission designed and built by Valtra: the innovative continuously variable transmission in Direct models, and the intelligent powershift transmission in Versu models.

Valtra's new intelligent powershift and step less transmissions offer a modern modular design. This makes them easy to service, thus ensuring maximum uptime and productivity of the tractor. Easy to use

Operating a tractor has never been easier than with the new Valtra Versu and Direct tractor models. No gear levers are required as both models are operated via ergonomically positioned levers and buttons in the armrest.

High efficiency in both directions

The Versu and Direct transmissions have been designed with high efficiency in mind.

They offer the same amount of speeds forwards and backwards, allowing the tractors to operate perfectly with Valtra's reverse drive system TwinTrac.

Versu

Versu models are equipped with an incredibly easy to operate electro hydraulic intelligent powershift transmission.

4 speed ranges and 2 standard creeper ranges give you an impressive 30 speeds in both directions, providing you with just the right speed for field work and transport.

As easy as tractor operation gets

Driving Versu tractors is as easy as it gets. The transmission is operated via ergonomically located controls in the armrest.

With the programmable shifting automatics Auto 1 and Auto 2 you can let the tractor do the driving and fully concentrate on your work or the implement attached.

• Powershift buttons for shifting up/down. (1, 2)

• Press the HiShift button (3) and the powershift buttons (1,2) for changing the group range.

• Creeper range is selected using a lever in the side console

Valtra now offers Direct models equipped with the world's most modern continuously variable transmission.

Valtra designed this transmission keeping in mind the renowned Valtra all-weather suitability, efficiency in both directions (TwinTrac) and fuel economy (EcoSpeed and EcoPower).

Ground speed PTO

Valtra Direct models offer a step less transmission with optional ground speed PTO. This unique feature among CVT tractors of this range offer new possibilities for forest, farm, earth-moving and other contractors.

Easy operation

Driving Valtra Direct tractors is extremely easy and all driving controls are within easy reach:

1. Select a driving range using the control lever in the armrest.

2. Select a direction. The well-proven shuttle lever lets you select whether to go forward or reverse or apply the parking brake.

3. Apply the accelerator pedal to reach required speed.

Automatic and semi-automatic driving modes

There are two driving modes in the Valtra Direct models, offering you optimum control for all conditions.

Transmission working principle

The step less transmission in Direct models has been developed by adding a countershaft with a hydrostatic variator parallel to Valtra's HiTech planetary unit.

In Versu models two clutches replace the hydrostatic variator to achieve a multi-step powershift.

Versu and Direct models are equipped as standard with load-sensing hydraulics offering a pump capacity of 115 l/min. An optional 160 l/min high capacity pump is also available for demanding applications.

For superior lifting power the T182 and T202 models are available with 85kN heavy duty three-point linkage.

Unparalleled hydraulics control

Like in Valtra Advance models all hydraulic functions are literally at the tip of your finger in the multifunction armrest.

Separate oil systems for long life and heat exchange

Transmission and hydraulic oils are kept separate in the structure of the Versu and Direct models. This stops impurities from reaching the transmission oil thus increasing the overall tractor life and reliability. Another positive effect is that there is a heat exchange between the two oil systems.

In cold weather the transmission oil warms up the hydraulics, during transport the hydraulic oil serves as a coolant for the transmission.

Assist for front loading work (Direct models)

The automatic hydraulic assist increases productivity during front loader work, further improving the excellent front loading characteristics of the N Series.

Engines

True to Valtra tradition the heart of the new Versu and Direct models are the powerful and reliable AGCO Sisu Power (formerly SisuDiesel) engines. AGCO Sisu Power engines in the N and T Series have full approval to run on 100% esterified Biodiesel (RME or SOME).

Feel the torque

All new models offer 5-17% more torque compared to the Classic, HiTech and Advance models of the N and T Series models. A difference you can feel!

Saving fuel with EcoSpeed and EcoPower

The new Valtra models have been developed with fuel savings in mind, for example the low revolution EcoPower model, T162e. Versu models are also equipped with the automatic fuel-saving EcoSpeed function which reduces the engine speed to 1800 rpm during transport.

Extra power with transport boost and Sigma Power

Transport boost is available for all Versu models, offering extra power during transport. The T182 and T202 Versu and Direct models increase productivity with Valtra's unique Sigma Power, providing even more power when using PTO.
