The new Spearhead 460 has a 10-year award winning heritage of reliability and performance that sets it apart from the rest. Each rotor carries three "high lift" free swinging blades to provide an exceptionally clean cut and even spread of material. The robust spring steel blades will produce a fine finish on amenity parkland and paddocks or cut and mulch heavy set-aside or light scrub land with equal ease.

The exceptional cutting performance enables the 460 to be used in tall scrub or regularly mown parkland with equal success. The particularly even spread of chopped material gives a pleasing finish, even in difficult conditions.

Full Length Hinges - Continuous "piano" type wing pivots with large diameter rods give maximum strength and rigidity for total reliability.

Drive Line - Robust shaft drive system using a 160hp power splitter gearbox and three 95hp rotor gearboxes for continuous high output and no down time.

Drawbar - An adjustable hitch to suit all tractors.

Chassis and Deck - Fabricated from heavy gauge steel with structural reinforcement capable of withstanding the heaviest demands.

Tight Turning - A high performance series 8 PTO shaft with constant velocity joints permits tight turns to be made at full power for continuous output.

Centre Skids - Increased output in uneven conditions is possible due to the removable centre skids with replaceable wear pads.

Mulcher Wedge - The mulcher wedge keeps straw and other material inside the cutting deck until it is thoroughly chopped.

Safety Curtain - The full width safety curtain allows the even flow of cut material while preventing flying debris. A rubber rear guard is available as an option.

Wheels and Tyres - 10 ply 600 x 9 heavy duty industrial pneumatic tyres are virtually puncture proof and give a shock-free 40kph travel capability.

Rubber Suspension System - The maintenance free suspension system allows the mower to follow the ground contours accurately and gives a stable high speed transport capability.

Light Kit - The rear light kit encourages early starts and late finishes for maximum output when conditions are right.

Rotors - Each rotor carries three spring steel high lift blades for 100% cutting even in the most difficult conditions. The generous 150mm blade overlap ensures no uncut strips, even on the tightest turn. The rotors behind the tractor wheels contra rotate to ensure laid material is cleanly cut. The "stump jump" centre pan allows the rotor to slide over field obstructions.

Hydraulic Wing Lift - Single acting hydraulic cylinders raises the wings at the touch of a lever. A mechanical float facility allows the wings to undulate without wear on the ram seals.

Level Lift - Adjustable tie bars provide parallel lift regardless of drawbar position. The rotors remain parallel with the ground at all heights.

Slip Clutch Protection - Each rotor is individually protected by a specially designed multiplate clutch to prevent breakages should obstructions be encountered.
