Amazone D9 The three point linkage mounted D9 seed drill can be used on its own or in combination with all soil tillage implements. The strong frame design and the large seed box feature on the D9. The step-less operating Vario gearbox allows for all AMAZONE seed drills the infinitely variable seed rate setting from 2 to 400 kg/ha. Working Widths 2.5, 3, 4, 6 and 12 metres Seed Box Capacity From 360 to 4140 litres The seed box lid, rubber sealed all round, guards the contents of the big seed box from the penetration of rain water and dust. With its tubular handle and gas pressure ram the lid can simply be handled. Large stair steps and strong railings offer safety when climbing onto the loading board.
The combination of fine seed metering wheel and main seed metering wheel allows sowing seed rates from 1 to 350 kg/ha without changing the seed metering wheel. The change over is done within seconds.
The WS coulter is superbly suited for sowing following the plough or where little straw prevails, e.g. after rape or beet. The hard cast coulter tip material has a prolonged operational life. On large farms with aggressive soils, the additional quick coulter tip change with just one bolt is possible.
The sabre coulter tip has been developed for the very shallow seed placement on sandy soils or in mulch sowing with medium straw residue. The WS coulter tip can easily be exchanged for the sabre coulter tip.
The RoTeC coulter
is equipped as standard with a depth limiting and cleaning disc to allow a tool
less setting of the sowing depth.
The depth limiter disc allows a very shallow seed placement, e.g. of grass on sandy soils.
The infinitely variable gearbox, set conveniently on a single lever, results in a step less flow of seed.
With the new AMAZONE metering system the seed wheels are mainly filled from above similar to the cell wheel. This prevents deviations between calibration test and actual seed rate due to varying seed wheel fillings.
