Amazone Catros
The Catros compact disc cultivator is a specialist for shallow and intensive mixing as is required for stubble work. the targeted reconsolidation is achieved by the AMAZONE wedge ring roller. By re-consolidating the soil in strips the structure of the surface remains intact, this provides for the optimum germination of volunteer grain and weed seeds.
Working Widths From 3 to 6 metres, mounted and 5.5 to 7.5 metres, trailed (the trailed Catros can be folded to a transport width of only 3 metres)
The three-point linkage mounting of the Catros leads to an extremely compact and highly manoeuvrable implement that can be operated as effectively in small plots as well as on large areas.
The staggered arrangement of the concave discs with the angle of the front disc gang diagonally opposite to the rear intensively mix the soil and plant residues. The angle of 17° in the front and 14° in the rear result in an optimum penetration and trouble free passage. The disc diameter of 460 mm allow for the arrangement of the discs close to the frame and towards each other.
The rubber sprung elements allow the optimum adaptation of the concave discs to the ground contour. The large diameter of the rubber springs offers overload protection. This way an always shallow penetration depth and operational safety and minimised maintenance are ensured.
The combination of felt ring and extremely high class slide ring reliably seals the 2-row angular contact ball bearings. This way the oil filling for the machine's lifespan makes grease nipples unnecessary. The effort and expense for maintenance is thus clearly reduced.
The as standard hydraulically foldable main frame of the compact disc harrow Catros allows the comfortable road transport with a transport width of less than 3 m without any problem.
With the aid of setting spindles the working depth of the concave discs is simply and conveniently adapted to the varying soil conditions.
