Amazone AD-P The AD-P seed drills are provided with a translucent distributor head located outside the seed hopper. The flow of seed can be permanently monitored. Excess seed destined for tramline coulters is returned back to the tank. The compact design near to the tractor reduces the lifting power requirement. Working Widths 2.5 and 3 metres (Special), 3, 4 and 4.5 metres (Super) Seed Box Capacity From 750 to 1000 litres (Special), 1500 to 2000 litres (Super) The large seed hoppers are easily accessed via the steps and loading board. Sieves protect the contents against foreign objects. Easy filling of the hopper from the loading board via a trailer mounted filling auger or by a loading shovel. The swivelable hopper cover prevents dust and moisture penetrating the hopper.
The translucent distributor head allows the continuous function check of the metering system and the flap box giving the back to tank seed return on tramlines.
Setting the seed rate on the infinitely variable gearbox. With the aid of the disc slide rule only one calibration test is required.
The patented metering system has two normal and two fine seed metering rollers and these are staggered to ensure a positive and accurate seed metering (2 to 400 kg/ha).
The central coulter pressure is set using a crank handle. Hydraulic coulter and exact harrow pressure adjustment allows the matching of the coulter pressure to changing soil types.
The WS coulter is superbly suited for sowing following the plough or where little straw prevails, e.g. after rape or beet. The hard cast coulter tip material has a prolonged operational life. On large farms with aggressive soils, the additional quick coulter tip change with just one bolt is possible.
The sabre coulter tip has been developed for the very shallow seed placement on sandy soils or in mulch sowing with medium straw residue. The WS coulter tip can easily be exchanged for the sabre coulter tip.
The RoTeC coulter
is equipped as standard with a depth limiting and cleaning disc to allow a tool
less setting of the sowing depth.
The depth limiter disc allows a very shallow seed placement, e.g. of grass on sandy soils.
The pressure on the extra coverage following harrow can be matched to the ground conditions either manually or hydraulically. The independently pivoting harrow elements follow the soil undulations and give an even seed coverage without any risk of blocking.
As an alternative to the extra coverage following harrow the robust and value for money drag tine harrow is available for machines with 3 m working width.
